Confidence, Curiosity, and Kindergarten Readiness
Preschool children are ready to take on more complex ideas, longer conversations, group projects, friendships, responsibilities, and independent routines. Our preschool program supports these skills through hands-on play and meaningful daily experiences.
Rather than relying on worksheets or memorization, educators introduce early literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, and problem-solving through activities children can investigate and enjoy.
Early Learning Across the Day
Children develop school-readiness skills while building, creating, talking, listening, moving, imagining, observing, and working with others. Educators ask open-ended questions and provide materials that allow children to test ideas, make choices, and explain their thinking.
Books, storytelling, songs, drawing, letter awareness, and conversation build communication and a love of language.
Counting, sorting, measuring, patterns, building, observation, and simple experiments introduce important concepts.
Group play helps children practise cooperation, kindness, listening, sharing ideas, and resolving disagreements.
Art, construction, music, movement, dramatic play, and open-ended projects encourage imagination and problem-solving.
Children practise caring for belongings, following routines, making choices, and completing age-appropriate tasks.
Outdoor play supports physical development, confidence, teamwork, observation, and exploration of the natural world.
Preparing for the Transition to Kindergarten
Kindergarten readiness includes much more than recognizing letters and numbers. Children also benefit from being able to communicate needs, listen during group activities, manage routines, work with others, try unfamiliar tasks, and recover from small frustrations.
Our educators support these abilities gradually, without placing unnecessary pressure on children. The goal is for each child to approach school as a capable, curious, and confident learner.
Daily Routines, Meals, and Family Communication
The preschool day includes active and quiet play, group experiences, creative work, outdoor time, meals and snacks, and opportunities to rest. Families receive updates about participation, routines, interests, and development. You can also review our healthy meals and snacks.
