Is Kinder Grove licensed?

What are the centre’s hours?

Does Kinder Grove participate in CWELCC?

How do you keep children safe?

The safety of every child is our highest priority. Kinder Grove follows Ontario’s licensed child care requirements, maintains secure arrival and departure procedures, and provides continuous supervision throughout the day.

Enrollment & Visits

How do I join the waitlist?

Complete the online Waitlist form. Placement depends on age group, schedule, and availability. Families may also book a tour before joining.

Can I book a tour?

Yes. Use the Book a Tour page to request a visit. You can also review our Programs before your appointment.

How do I apply for enrollment?

Use the Online Enrollment form. Placement remains subject to confirmation and availability. Families who are not ready to enroll can first join the waitlist.

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes. Only individuals authorized by a parent or guardian may pick up a child. If someone new will be picking up your child, please notify the centre in advance so we can verify their identity before releasing your child.

What ages does Kinder Grove accept?

Infant care is available from birth to 18 months, toddler care from 19 to 30 months, and preschool care from 31 months to 5 years. Visit our Infant Program, Toddler Program, and Preschool Program pages for details.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Yes. Healthy meals and snacks are served during the day. See our current child care menu.

What is the learning approach?

Kinder Grove uses play-based early learning through exploration, conversation, movement, creativity, and social interaction. Read our Learning Philosophy and explore our Programs.

Do children spend time outdoors?

Yes. Outdoor play is included regularly, weather permitting. Learn more on our Programs page.

How does the centre communicate with families?

Educators share information about routines, meals, sleep, activities, interests, and development. Learn more on the About page.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Please bring a complete change of clothes, indoor shoes if required, diapers and wipes if applicable, any necessary comfort items, and any medications with the required authorization forms. Our team will let you know if anything else is needed before your child’s first day.

Do children have outdoor play every day?

Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine whenever weather and safety conditions allow. Children enjoy supervised outdoor activities that encourage physical development, exploration, and active play.

Can Kinder Grove accommodate food allergies?

We work closely with families to understand each child’s dietary needs and food allergies. Please discuss your child’s requirements with us before enrollment so an appropriate plan can be prepared.

What happens if my child becomes ill during the day?

If your child becomes unwell while attending the centre, we will contact you or your emergency contact as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, you may be asked to pick up your child to ensure their comfort and the well-being of the other children.

How do you communicate with parents?

Families receive regular updates about their child’s daily activities, meals, rest time, learning experiences, and important announcements. We encourage open communication and welcome questions from families.

Do you help with toilet training?

Yes. We work together with families to support toilet training when children are developmentally ready. Every child progresses at their own pace, and we provide encouragement, consistency, and positive reinforcement throughout the process.
